IBEX HIRES LAURA SHERMAN AS THE NEW SEMINAR MANAGER

Laura Sherman

The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) is pleased to announce the hire of Laura Sherman as the new IBEX Seminar Manager. IBEX is owned and produced by Professional BoatBuilder magazine and the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

Sherman will work directly with Professional BoatBuilder magazine to manage the seminar series and educational content of IBEX. She has held positions in advertising at Professional BoatBuilder and WoodenBoat magazines since 2004 and as part of the show management team for The WoodenBoat Show since 2007. Sherman’s experience in advertising management, customer service, and event operations and promotions uniquely qualify her to manage the educational content of IBEX.

"I am thrilled to have Laura Sherman as part of the IBEX team,” said Anne Dunbar, IBEX Show Director." “She is extremely capable and a pleasure to work with. I am confident that all of our IBEX seminar partners and speakers will enjoy working with her.”

The IBEX Seminar Series is produced by Professional BoatBuilder magazine, along with the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA), and National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), and offers world renowned technical educational seminars to train new shop crew or help seasoned employees improve their skills. In 2014, IBEX will offer hands-on training in the exhibit hall, in the outdoor demonstration area, dock side, and on the water.

IBEX looks forward to the enthusiastic, professional direction Sherman will bring to the seminar series. She can be reach by email at laura@ibexshow.com or by phone at 207-359-4651.
