NADEN BOATS PINK BOAT TOUR COMPLETES SUCCESSFUL WEEK

Naden Pink Boat Tour

With just one week under its belt, The PINK Boat Tour, co-sponsored by Naden Boats and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure North Bay has sold $5,000 worth of tickets in a raffle to win a Naden PINK Fisherman Package. All proceeds, the ultimate goal being $25,000, are in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  The tour began June 29th, when Naden Boat Dealer, Harper’s Marina towed the 14’ PINK Naden Fisherman in the annual Canada Day parade in Callander, ON.  After the parade, the PINK boat was a feature at the Callander annual picnic at the CIBC Run for the Cure North Bay tent.

From there, the boat was towed to Alban, ON. There, Naden dealer Marine Tech Plus sold tickets and showcased the boat to over 2,000 visitors at the Canada Day exhibition. After two days in the heart of Temagami, ON, one of Canada’s most pristine boating and cottage areas, she spent the July 5th weekend in New Liskeard, ON at the 7th Annual New Liskeard Lions Club Dragon Boat Festival and the Knock Cancer Out Of The Park slow pitch tournament.

It was a busy week! And it’s just getting busier.

This weekend, The PINK Boat Tour will be at Naden Dealer Mountain Trout House in Dorset, ON.  Friday, July 12 from 4-8PM she will be parked in front of Robinson’s General Store in Dorset, ON.  During the rest of the weekend, she will be at the Customer Appreciation Weekend in celebration of MTH’s 75th Anniversary.

If you’re in Gravenhurst, ON the weekend of July 26-28, you can purchase a ticket to win the 14’ PINK Naden Fisherman Package at the Muskoka In-Water Boat & Cottage Show, where she will be exhibited by Campbell’s Landing Marina.

From July 29th to August 1st, our Pink Naden Fisherman will be the ‘star’ of Beacon Bash week – a whole week of fun and activities at Beacon Marine in Point-au-Baril, ON.

The complete the package, valued at over $7,000, consists of a 14’ PINK Naden Fisherman, a Tohatsu 15hp 4-stroke outboard engine, a Yacht Club Trailer manufactured by Easy Hauler and donated by Baywood Enterprises in North Bay, 2 Salus Marine PFDs for the winner and her or his partner, a boat cover donated by Temagami Marine, and a safety and mooring package donated by Mariner’s Marine.

Tickets ($5.00 each or 5 for $20) are being sold through the CIBC Run for the Cure North Bay, stores in Callander, ON, CIBC Branches in North Bay and participating Naden Boat dealers. Donations can be made directly from the Nadenboats.com/pink-boat-tour web page in the name of the PINK Boat Tour.

The draw will occur Sunday, October 6th at the conclusion of CIBC Run for the Cure in North Bay, ON.

“The PINK Boat Tour is almost all booked for July and we are quickly booking up for August” stated Andre Lamothe, president of Naden Boats. “I’m pleased at the number of Naden dealers who have come forward to help with the tour that will span New Liskeard to Dorset to Pointe-au-Baril to Alban, ON.”

The 14’ Pink Naden Fisherman was hand-crafted in Temagami, ON. All Naden Boats are built using a proprietary cleaning and coating process that is environmentally safe. Naden boats are powder coated via an electrostatic process. As an added bonus, this molecular bonding creates a durable finish that is even more scratch and fade resistant than alternatives.

Naden’s corporate motto is “All our boats are green, even the red ones!” Lamothe is delighted to think that he might have to revise his logo to read “even the pink ones”.

“As part of our corporate culture, we have a definite environmental vision, it not just a PINK eco-boat, it’s an eco-package “stated Lamothe. Tohatsu donated one of the 4-stroke outboard engines, which are known for their ultra low emission rate and are EPA and CARB approved.

The CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education and awareness programs. Last year Canadians united to raise over $30 million for the event.

“Breast cancer continues to be the most common cancer diagnosis in Canadian women over the age of 20,” continues Lamothe, “and we are pleased to have the opportunity to support the wonderful work being done by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.”

“North Bay is right in our back yard and the CIBC Run for the Cure – North Bay is a wonderful all-volunteer project” continued Lamothe. “We also thought we would have a little bit of fun and build a pink boat.”
