Plans Underway for an Expanded International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference in Tampa

The new Marina & Yard Pavilion at IBEX will serve the hundreds of marina and yard professionals who attend the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) and who are eager to see and learn about the advancements in equipment, products, and services specifically for the marina, yard, and repair segment of the industry. IBEX’s Education Conference will also expand its training and seminar content for this group. The 27th IBEX will be held September 19-21 at the Tampa Convention Center and plans to offer more exhibits, expanded water demonstrations, technical education seminars, and more international participation.

“We have been working diligently on planning and creating new and exciting feature areas for the 2017 event,” said Anne Dunbar, IBEX Show Director. “In an effort to better serve our current marina and yard attendees, we are creating a dedicated Pavilion to showcase the new product and technology development in this important sector of our industry.”

IBEX 2017 will kick off on Tuesday, September 19 with the IBEX Industry Breakfast which will include the presentation of the Innovation Awards. The event will span three floors featuring two exhibit halls hosting the Composites Pavilion with the Future Materials Display, Electronics Pavilion with a new, improved Connected Boat, the Compliance, Standards & Education Pavilion, and the new Marina & Yard Pavilion, overlooking the IBEX Docks. For additional information about exhibiting, contact the IBEX Sales team.

The IBEX Education Conference offers multiple options for people to access information about new processes, technical information and products including free Tech Talk Workshops, pre-conference Super Sessions, and the popular IBEX Seminar Series. During the three-day event, there will be nearly 60 education seminars which are being developed in partnership with the Professional BoatBuilder magazine, National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA), American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC), and National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA).
