PEERS AND PROFILES – JACK PADY

Jack Pady

By John Kerr

If the truth be known Jack Pady was one of the first Yacht Brokers I ever met and over the years watching from sidelines its been interesting to watch Jack and his team to adapt with the times. But what I must also declare is that Audrey, Jack’s wife has been a dear friend and mentor to me when I was much younger than I am today and Audrey has been a key pillar I the foundation of what Jack Pady Marine is today.

Jacks team today includes Rob Hopkins, Greg Heffering and Bob Hopkins.

Selling pre-owned power and sailboats has been a major part their business for years and unique in away that he and his team are well versed in both.  Over the years Jack Pady Marine has represented many lines most recently as new boat dealer including Back Cove Yachts and Sabre Yachts and has included Columbia sailboats, Mirage and Hinterhoeller Yachts and Albin Marine trawlers and express yachts.

Jack has also spent time on the manufacturing side as well, heading up sailboat manufacturing at Express Yachts in Midland, worked for 10 years at Grew and did marketing in Canada for the Tiara and Pursuit line of boats.

Jack Pady always gives back too and was a key part of the founding of Boating Ontario Dealers, an association of established boating professionals aimed at creating the highest standard of service and professionalism in the boating industry throughout Ontario. In addition to this Jack has collaborated in the development of a Certification program through Georgian College whereby boat sales persons and brokers may complete an exam and attain the status of Certified Marine Sales Professional.

Last week Jack hosted his June event at his office at Hinson’s in Penetanguishene displaying a solid cross section of product and its no wonder why his clientele keeps coming back to him and his team. Their collective broad-based expertise across such a wide range of boats and Jack’s personal style makes them a solid choice for boaters in Ontario.

Jack Pady Marine is located in Hindson Marina: 79 Champlain Road, Penetanguishene ON L9M 1R5 T 705 529-1828. www.jackpadymarine.com
