AFTER 15 SUCCESSFUL YEARS, OWNERS OF “OLDBOATBROCHURES.COM” PLAN TO RETIRE

Brochures Library

July 24, 2017

Brenda and Doug Dawson began collecting boat brochures as part of their heritage family marina business, starting in the 1950’s. It was a huge benefit for their used boat brokerage providing sales resources that were often not available from any other source.

After the marina was sold, the Dawson’s maintained the brochure collection and continued to add to it and keep it up to date. It has become a key element in their
successful home-based business, attracting brochure buyers from across North America. The business, www.OldBoatBrochures.com is now well-established and in its 15th year.

Still going strong, the Dawsons are looking for a buyer to keep this treasure trove of boat sales information available to the industry. Images are scanned digitally and emailed to buyers. The same images can be re-sold over and over.

The new owner will get approximately 9,000 original printed old boat brochures [plus thousands of duplicate copies] from the 1950s to current, that can be scanned and emailed to boat owners and brokers around the world for a fee.

Included in the sale will be 10,000+ brochures, scanner, state-of-the-art e-commerce website, reference books, training, traffic. Once scanned, these originals can be sold – some as high as $150 each.

Everything is ready to relocate and go. Email or phone Doug Dawson for details: 519 – 538 – 2887. Email Doug@BoatingWithDawsons.com
