Boating Ontario 50th Anniversary 400The Boating Ontario Awards of Excellence are a celebration of success and an opportunity to recognize those who have made significant contributions to Ontario’s recreational boating industry. These prestigious awards are presented to organizations, businesses and individuals that demonstrate outstanding contributions to recreational boating in Ontario. This year, these awards will be part of the Boating Ontario 50th Anniversary Celebration at The Blue Mountain Village Conference Centre, The Blue Mountains, ON.

There are four distinct Boating Ontario President’s Awards of Excellence:

W.J. Robertson Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution and has expressed an appreciation for the Boating Ontario Association.   

Gord Blake Visionary Award recognizes an individual or business who have made an outstanding contribution in the field of innovation or successfully leveraged an opportunity for visionary leadership within the boating industry.

Robert Eaton Environmental Award celebrates individuals and businesses who are dedicated to environmental responsibility and stewardship while contributing their time and effort to advancing their efforts in the Boating Ontario Clean Marine program.

President’s Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution with long-term impact to the boating industry.

“Boating Ontario has a proud and rich history servicing members form all aspects of our community for the last 50 years. The Awards of Excellence represent an opportunity to recognize select businesses and individuals whose efforts have resulted in success not only in growth for their own business but in the business of boats as a whole.” states Rick Layzell, CEO Boating Ontario.

To nominate an individual for the Boating Ontario Awards, please visit http://conference.boatingontario.ca/awards/,  fill out the nomination form for the applicable award and email it to Cynthia Hodgson at chodgson@boatingontario.ca no later than October 23, 2017.  

Winners will be announced at the Boating Ontario 50th Anniversary Celebration and Awards Gala being held at Village Conference Centre, The Blue Mountains, Ontario, November 26-28, 2017.
