AMI PRESENTS BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT IMBC

The Association of Marina Industries (AMI) elected its 2019 officers and directors at its annual International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) held January 23 – 25, 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Joe Riley, Certified Marina Manager (CMM) was reappointed chair; Chris Petty of Suntex Waterfront Management was reappointed vice chair; Chris Dolan of Marina Electrical Equipment, Inc. was re-appointed secretary; and John Swick, CMM, of Safe Harbor Marinas was reappointed treasurer.

AMI welcomes two new members elected to the 2019 board of directors for a three-year term — Steve Linton of Pikes Bay Marina and Bill Young, of Morningstar Properties. Meanwhile, it also bids farewell to Bob Evans, CMM, and David Bluestone of Morningstar Properties.

The new board members will join the existing board, which includes: Brad Gross, CMM; Ronaldo Souza, CMM, of Westrec Marinas; Austin Cameron of VIP Marina, LLC; Ray Fernandez of Bridge Marina; John Chiazza of Aon Risk Solutions; Michael Short, CMM, of Vancouver Marina; Kevin Thompson of Bellingham Marine; Rick Chapman, CMM, of Port of Sunnyside Club, Inc.; Jason Johnson of Marine Travelift, Inc.; Giuseppe Alvarado of Shilshole Bay Marina; Enza Montano of Chicago Harbors – Westrec; and Marieke van Peer of Seahaven Superyacht Marina.

AMI is a nonprofit membership organization that provides management training, education and information on research, legislation and environmental issues affecting the marina industry.
