BOATING ONTARIO OFFERS SUPPORT FOR THEIR MEMBERS

Boating Ontario Boat Safe

Apr 7, 2020

Boating Ontario sent out this notice to their members last week to support them in maintaining positive contact with their customers.

They wrote, “We don’t know about you but there certainly seems to be a lot of calls from consumers asking what the heck is going on and when they can go boating!

We wanted to share the following message and attached photo with you to use as a tool to engage with your consumers and give them some information while also nicely telling them to give you some space & allow you to do your job.”

Hey boating lovers! We totally love your desire to social distance on the water or at your water-access- cottage! Boating is a fantastic way to get outdoors, destress and escape from the worries of everyday life. But the thing is, your marinas and boat storage facilities aren’t quite ready for you yet. We’re getting ready for you, earlier than normal, and we will be prepared for your arrival once it is safe to welcome you! For now, we need your help to protect your families and ours; we need you to please stay safe & warm at home until government agencies give the all-clear. With ice still on many waterways & the cool temperatures of any water that is open, it’s still a little early to be considering hopping on board your boat, but the time will come! When it does, your marinas will be ready and eager to help get you out on the water and enjoying all the benefits of boating!

Boating Ontario will be releasing another statement following further announcements from the government.
Stay safe & healthy,
Your Boating Ontario Team
