METS APPOINTS NEW SALES & ACCOUNT MANAGER

Roel Schoenmaker

The Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS), the world’s leading B2B event of its kind, has appointed Roel Schoenmaker as its new sales & account manager. He replaces Rens-Jan van Vliet, who has taken on a new function within the Traffic domain at Amsterdam RAI, organisers of METS.

I am very much looking forward to starting this new challenge,” comments Schoenmaker, who will start his new role in mid-February. “It is an especially exciting move for me to join the METS team as I have been passionate about sailing since childhood. To work in the nautical and marine industry is a privilege. METS is a great show and a superb opportunity for me to develop in both a personal as well as a professional capacity.”

Irene Dros, Maritime Domain Manager at Amsterdam RAI, is equally pleased with the new appointment. “After a thorough search, we have found in Roel a highly skilled person and a perfect match with the METS team. His enthusiasm, professional approach, fresh ideas, customer focus and sharp strategic eye for a mutually successful outcome will bring significant added value to METS and its exhibitors.”
