GODFREY MARINE COMPLETES SALE OF POLAR KRAFT BRAND

Godfrey Marine announced recently it has completed the sale of the brand and certain assets and liabilities of Polar Kraft aluminum fishing boats, located in Syracuse, IN. Polar Kraft was part of the brand portfolio of Godfrey Marine which also manufactures Hurricane deck boats and Godfrey pontoon boats. The decision to sell the aluminum fishing line was made as part of Godfrey Marine’s strategy to refocus on its remaining brands. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Polar Kraft aluminum fishing boats boasts a rich tradition of building a full-line of rugged aluminum fishing boats. From its humble beginnings in 1954, manufacturing utility boats made from hand-cut aluminum in Olive Branch, MS, to its current and more modernized manufacturing facilities in Syracuse, IN, Polar Kraft has been a mainstay in the aluminum fishing boat segment. Over the years Polar Kraft aluminum fishing boats have been the recipient of multiple industry satisfaction (CSI) and Excellence in Design awards.

Taking over leadership of the Polar Kraft brand will be Andy Cripe and Scott Tuttle, two successful  RV industry veterans.  Cripe, former President of Crossroads RV located in Topeka, IN., is also part of the ownership group of Main Channel Marina located in Syracuse, IN. Tuttle was one of the founders of Heartland Recreation Vehicles in Elkhart, IN., as well as the founder of Livin’ Lite Recreational Vehicles in Wakarusa, IN.
