PONTOON PUMP COMBATS INVASIVE SPECIES SPREAD

Pontoon Pump

July 10, 2017

Invasive species like zebra mussels continue to spread to waterbodies across North America. In response, many regions now require that operators clean, drain and dry all parts of watercraft after each use, and before traveling to another body of water—this includes seaplanes and floatplanes.

A new pump and discharge hose package from Beckson Marine makes it fast and easy to mitigate aquatic hitchhikers, and comply with Clean, Drain, Dry regulations.

The Beckson Pontoon Pump is self-priming and incorporates a unique flexible foot and tapered collar that fit the standard funnels in most aircraft pontoons. It’s self-priming, easy to clean and made in the USA.

This pump uses durable materials that won’t rust, nor mar aircraft surfaces. It’s available in three models: the 315FPX measuring 15″ L with a 7.5 gpm capacity, the 324FPX at 24″ L and a 10 gpm capacity, and the 336FPX that’s 36″ L with a 13 gpm capacity.

The companion Beckson FP-OUT3 Pontoon Pump Discharge Hose Kit features a 3′ high-capacity flexible hose with an extra-long, 6″ rigid dispensing spout. It fits securely into a five-gallon bucket or other appropriate container for the proper disposal of extracted pontoon water.

Ideal for private pilots, air charter services or anyone flying to waterfront locations.
