INGENIOUS BECKSON HINGES FEATURE INTERCHANGEABLE PARTS

Beckson Hinges

Sept 24, 2019

Installing hatch or instrument covers and other hinged closures can prove challenging when dealing with uneven surfaces. Beckson Marine offers solutions with its line of plastic hinges. They’re available in standard or offset configurations, each in multiple lengths with interchangeable parts that enable anyone to create custom hardware for difficult applications.

The Beckson Marine Full Opening Hinge, offered in lengths of 1-3/4″, 3″, 4″ and 6″, uses a single pin to open 180 degrees. This enables it to rest flat when folded, making it ideal for hatch covers. The Offset Hinge comes in lengths of 2-1/4″, 3-1/2″, 4-7/16″ and 6-7/16″. Its two pins with a center connector provide a wider opening gap to accommodate off-level mounting. Interchangeable parts and a common 1-1/2″ width allow users to easily create custom configurations of either Full Opening or Offset Hinges by linking sides of differing lengths.

All Beckson hinges are made from lightweight, injection-molded Delrin® with durable Monel® pins for long life and maximum corrosion resistance. Both styles are sold in a choice of white or black finishes. OEM custom colors are available on request.

Suggested retail prices for Beckson Marine Full Opening Hinges start at $9.95 USD per pair. The Offset Hinges begin at $17.90 USD per pair. Visit: www.beckson.com.
