SeaCleanProblems caused by inefficient regeneration of a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) can be eliminated with the installation of a SeaClean Soot Filtration System (shown above) by marine exhaust system engineering, design, fabrication and service company DeAngelo Marine Exhaust.
The unique SeaClean system monitors the exhaust gas temperature and varies the power going to the heater element so that exhaust gas temperatures are constant. This allows a DPF to work properly so that collected soot is burnt off at high temperature, leaving only a tiny ash residue.

2Tinga Tunnel Hull DinghyOriginally developed for high-speed search and rescue use where the virtues of an inflatable boat are well-proven, but where speed and seaworthiness are equally important, the 2Tinga tunnel hull dinghies are now available in yacht tender designs and colours.

The tunnel hull design has another major benefit to yacht owners; it is easily towed, even at high speeds. Using your swim platform for a dinghy storage rack is not ideal and towing a dinghy at speed can be tricky and a waste of fuel too.

Like other valuables, doesn’t it seem reasonable that fuel tanks should be kept under lock and key?

Perko makes it easy to retrofit a sturdy locking mechanism in the majority of their 1-1/2" vented and non-vented fills. The black plastic 0525 Fuel System Locking Insert comes with a high-strength zinc alloy lock cylinder.  When slid into the fill, spring action retracts the cams, which then lock onto the hose bib once the device is fully inserted.  A handy dual purpose key opens the protective metal fill cap and operates the lock.  Installation is easy, usually with no tools.

Removing the 0525 is simple.

Boston Whaler expands its classic Montauk selection with the release of the rugged new 210 Montauk. Entering the lineup as Whaler’s largest Montauk yet, the 210 carries on the line’s legacy of incredible functionality and durability while making the most of its increased size to expand on these qualities.

“With the popularity of our smaller Montauks and the value they provide, the 210 Montauk delivers upon that mission from a larger scale,” said Ron Berman, Boston Whaler’s vice president of product development and engineering.

THE MARITIME MUSEUM OF BRITISH COLUMBIA PLANS TO REINVENT ITSELF AS THE CANADIAN MARITIME MUSEUM

Maritime MuseumBy Marianne Scott

Four years ago, the Maritime Museum of British Columbia (MMBC) lost its premises at 28 Bastion Square, a historic building it had occupied for more than 50 years. Some fallen plaster and several leaks had caused the Province, who owns the National Historic Site, to judge the structure unsafe and therefore asked MMBC to vacate the property. The Museum was forced to pack up its vast collections and put them in storage, thus keeping them mostly hidden from the public, scholars and historians.
