NMMA BOARD MEMBERS HIRE FIRM TO BEGIN SEARCH FOR DAMMRICH’S SUCCESSOR

NMMA Thom Dammrich

Dec 11, 2018

As the NMMA prepares for the September 2019 retirement of NMMA President Thom Dammrich, a committee made up of key board members across boat, engine and marine accessory manufacturers, along with Dammrich, met in Atlanta, Georgia last week to interview a number of executive search firms. The committee issued a request for proposals in the fall and after a comprehensive and careful review selected Spencer Stuart, which boasts 57 offices around the globe and more than 60 years of leadership consulting experience.

Spencer Stuart consultants Leslie Hortum and Jackie Arends will lead the search. Their first steps will be to continue to familiarize themselves with NMMA and the industry and subsequently create a position description and required competencies. The official search is expected to commence in January, at which time a position specification document will be posted on NMMA’s website.
