NMMA US Power BoatsWe’ve talked extensively in the past weeks in Boating Industry Canada about the booming American market, specifically how the American Boating Market has grown. We have new information from the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) detailing the growth of American powerboat shipments. As we know, the Canadian Marine Industry is tied closely to that of the US, thus we are interested in providing you with the latest research and statistics of the market.

According to NMMA's Monthly Shipment Report (MSR), total powerboat wholesale shipments were up 8% through June (YTD), based on NMMA's control group of manufacturers representing 77% of the powerboat market.

This primarily reflects a 11% increase in shipments of personal watercraft, an 8% increase in shipments of outboard boats and a 6% increase in shipments of inboard boats.
