Nominations For The 2012 NMMA Canada Hall of Fame Award Now Open
The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Canada has announced that entries are being accepted for the 2012 NMMA Canada Hall of Fame Award, one of the industry’s most prestigious honors given to an individual in the Canadian marine industry.
The NMMA Hall of Fame Award is a top honour, recognizing an individual who shows extraordinary achievements in the recreational boating industry. The award acknowledges individuals who over the years have made lasting contributions to the betterment of the Canadian marine Industry.
“The recipients of this award are true icons in our industry. The essence of the NMMA Hall of Fame award is to honour outstanding dedication and commitment of a leader in the industry,” said Rick Layzell, National Sales Manager for Yamaha Motor Canada and Chairman of the NMMA Canada board of directors. “This is an opportunity for us all to showcase the incredible passion of those working in the Canadian recreational boating industry and so all are encouraged to nominate someone they believe has made a positive long-term impact on our industry.”
The Award will be presented in 2012 at a location to be determined based on the recipient’s home province.
To nominate an individual for the NMMA Hall of Fame Award download and complete the 2012 nomination form. For more information visit www.nmma.ca . Applicants must also submit a personal statement supporting the nomination and outlining the nominee’s qualifications; the nominee’s biography; supporting materials, documents or news articles; and any other statements or letters of recommendation from co-nominators who endorse the nomination. The recipient will be chosen by the Hall of Fame Committee made up of Canadian industry leaders and the NMMA Canada Board of Directors. The completed nomination form and supporting materials must be submitted by October 15, 2011 to Sara Anghel at sanghel@nmma.org.
