Northern Waters – Northern Lifestyle: hanseboot 2012 Opens October 27

The 53rd edition of hanseboot will open its doors again from October 27 until November 4, 2012. The event is an established meeting place for the industry and water sports enthusiasts. The new slogan “Northern Waters – Northern Lifestyle“ is geared towards professionals, amateurs and beginners. Leading up to this year’s event, the organizer will undertake a series of promotional measures to build on the existing strength of Hamburg International Boat Show. A detailed marketing campaign has been implemented to attract additional exhibitors from the Baltic Area, Scandinavia and Northern European Countries. The goal is to increase the number and range of boats and yachts shown at the Hamburg exhibit halls. The organizer expects that about 700 exhibitors from 30 countries will showcase their boats, equipment and provide information about the latest industry trends and innovations.

“hanseboot is the leading boat show in Northern Europe. Our new and improved slogan sums up what we offer: A Northern venue, in close proximity to waterways that attracts an enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience from Northern Europe and the Northern States in Germany“, explained Heike Schlimbach, Project Director of hanseboot at Hamburg Messe & Congress GmbH. “The strong geographic focus on Northern regions is conveyed throughout our promotional campaigns to exhibitors and visitors. Northern regions stand for all weather conditions and exhibitors will showcase boats and equipment that are made to sustain the sometimes demanding elements of the North Sea, Baltic Waters or inland waters.“ Large national pavilions from Northern Europe such as Finland and Estonia will be in place as well as a group exhibit from Poland. To substantially increase visitor participation from Northern Europe, the organizer will also conduct a series of promotional tours to Danish and Swedish marinas and offer convenient and affordable travel packages to Hamburg.
