Rick Layzell Joins Gordon Bay Marine

Gordon Bay Marine is pleased to announce that Rick Layzell joins the company as Sales Manager for their Muskoka-based dealerships. Layzell brings more than 23 years of experience in the recreational boating industry, including more than 18 years at Yamaha Motor Canada.

Says Gordon Bay owner Bruce Hatherley, “I am truly thrilled that Rick has agreed to come and join the Gordon Bay team and we look forward to his motivational, leadership and management skills to propel our sales growth in the coming seasons.”

“This is a tremendous opportunity to expand my knowledge and skills in the industry that I love, with what I truly believe is one of the most iconic dealer brands in the business,” added Layzell. “My years at Yamaha have taught me the importance of brand strength founded by a long-term commitment to customer excellence.  I am honoured to have this opportunity to learn from and to work with Bruce, Ben, and the entire team at Gordon Bay.”

Rick will officially join the Gordon Bay Marine team in early October and will dive head first into product knowledge training and preparation for the Toronto International Boat Show in January.

Gordon Bay Marine has two locations – the main store on Lake Joseph in Mactier, Ontario and The Cottage Shop on Highway 400 at Horseshoe Lake Road. They sell Boston Whaler, Malibu, Bayliner, Monterey, Lund and Stanley boats powered by Mercury and Yamaha. Gordon Bay Marine has been selling and servicing the Muskoka and area market for 52 years.
