SAMS 2011 Annual Conference and Training Symposia Comes to Halifax

The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors®, Inc. will hold its 2011 Annual Conference and Educational Training Symposia, October 5 – 8, 2011, at the Marriott Harbourfront Hotel, 1919 Upper Water Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is not often that this sort of event is held in Canada and this gives Canadian members a special opportunity to attend. It is clear that SAMS is interested in encouraging Canadian membership in this profession.

One Canadian who has taken an active roll in the organization is Capt. Stuart J. McLea Marine Surveys Canada Group of Halifax, and at present he serves as Secretary/Treasurer for SAMS, however this is an election year and Stuart is nominated for Executive Vice President. It is very encouraging to see a Canadian perspective so well represented in this important organization.

Conference reservations can be made at 800-943-6760. Identify yourself as part of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors®. The link to book online is: https://www.marriott.com/reservation/rateListMenu.mi.

All interested parties from the marine related repair, safety, insurance, and lending industries are cordially invited to attend.

For further information call our Office Manager, Rhea Shea, at 800-344-9077 or Email samshq@marinesurvey.org.
