Marine Technician

Description of Work:
We are looking for a full-time service technician / mechanic to join our team. The primary responsibilities will be to perform mechanical and electrical repairs, but as we are a full-service shop, experience, and willingness to work in other aspects of boat maintenance is important. As a small company with a collaborative work environment, our technicians perform a wide range of duties including, but not limited to engine repair and maintenance, electrical repairs and installations, trailer repairs, hauling, launching, and delivering of boats, and occasionally fiberglass repairs, cleaning, painting and shrink wrapping.

Assets:
– Outboard engine rigging, repair, and maintenance knowledge.
– Marine electrical knowledge.
– Yamaha, Mercury and/or Evinrude outboard technician certification.
– Any marine technical certification (i.e. ABYC).
– Experience in the repair and maintenance of inboard/outboard and inboard marine engine and drives.
– Trailer maintenance and repair knowledge.
– Experience in the launching, hauling, towing, and handling of boats.
– Shrink wrap experience.
– Fiberglass repair experience.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in marine service; however, we are able to offer on the job training for the right candidate. Compensation: $20-$30 per hour starting based on experience
