4th Annual Boating Ontario Dealers David de Eyre Classic a Major Success

 

Under ideal weather conditions on the Horseshoe Valley golf course, the 4th Annual Boating Ontario Dealers David de Eyre Classic golf tournament remembered the late David de Eyre and gathered together a major group of Boating Ontario Dealers members, associates, family and friends.

Sunny skies and moderate temperatures added greatly to the day keeping everyone comfortable as they enjoyed the scenic and beautifully groomed Horseshoe Resort – Valley course. Awards for Tournament Champions, Lowest Net Score and Most Honest were recognized.

Additional Contest Winners included:

Karrie Lacey – Women’s Longest Drive, sponsored by Boating Ontario

Malia Sutton – Women’s Closest to the Pin, sponsored by: Canadian Boat Shows / TIBS 

Cam Taylor – Men’s Longest Drive, sponsored by Crate’s Lake Country

Matt Stryker – Men’s Closest to the Pin, sponsored by North South Nautical Group

Bill Madill – 1st Place Putting Contest, sponsored by Canadian Yachting

Graham Lacey – 2nd Place Putting Contest

Al Hunkeler – Beat the DJ, sponsored by Rock 95 and Horseshoe Resort

Mike de Eyre – Final Raffle Contest, sponsored by Horseshoe Resort

The winning foursome of Cam Taylor, Bill Madill, Chris Carter and Cody Roy  took home the Tournament Champions award.  Sylvain Tisi, Jeanne Macdonald, Dan Loughead and Matt Stryker took home the Lowest Net Trophy.

The major sponsors for the 4th Annual Boating Ontario Dealers Association Dave de Eyre Classic golf tournament were Canadian Yachting magazine and Boating Industry Canada magazine.

The 2024 Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, held by the National Marine Electronics Association, (NMEA) took place September 16 to the 20th in Providence, Rhode Island. Boating Industry Canada was there for the first time and we were very impressed with what we found.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
