Agenda Highlights Announced for Boating Ontario Conference
Some of the agenda highlights for the upcoming Boating Ontario Conference and Trade Show have been announced – sounds like a great event.
Starting Sunday, December 4th, the Boating Ontario Dealers group is once again offering the opportunity to take the Georgian College / Boating Ontario Certified Professional Course. The training session will be conducted by Jack Pady, of Jack Pady Marine Inc, and Kevin Marinelli of Skyline Marina Ltd. The exam will follow the training session. Separate registration is required.
Next, Boating Ontario invites guests to join in for a fun evening to launch the new Boater Assist Canada program. The Bad Dog Theatre will be on hand to entertain with a mixture of improv and parody theatre.
On Monday December 5, Fred Gingl, a former President, CEO and Vice Chairman with auto parts giant Magna International, left Magna to become Founder and President of Magna Marque International Inc., a new product group focused on alternative mobility products. Join Mr. Gingl as he talks about the future of electric propulsion systems for the recreational marine industry.
Each delegate is invited to sign up for your choice of two interactive Peer-to-Peer workshops throughout the day. Each workshop will be one hour long. Topics include:

• The Environment and your Business
• Market Growth
• Getting Boaters Off Your Dock
• Keeping Customers Engaged Year Round
• TSSA, Fuel Handling, Propane Licenses
• Winter Works
• Attracting, Training & Retaining Employees
Then, there will be the Boating Ontario Trade Show; this 4 hour Trade Show will allow you to meet all of your new and existing suppliers in one easy location. Check out some of the exhibitors in advance on the ONLINE Trade Show.
The evening closes out with Comedian Gen Foster.
Finally, on Tuesday December 6, guests can attend Spotlight on Success; a session highlighting the best ideas, practices, and people of our industry. This session will describe how three local businesses developed one good idea to improve their business. Jeff Barnes from the Pride Marine Group and Jill Snider from South Bay Cove have generously agreed to share their success stories with you.

You won’t want to miss the keynote speaker, Roch Lambert who is now Group President for Rec Boat Holdings, which includes the Four Winns, Glastron, and Wellcraft brands.
