BAVARIA YACHTBAU ANNOUNCES CONSTANTIN VON BULOW AS CEO

At the shareholder’s meeting on 17th April 2013 Bavaria Yachtbau announced Constantin von Bülow as CEO (Chief Executive Officer) to correspond even better to the changed requirements of Bavaria Yachtbau within this challenging environment. Constantin von Bülow has got extensive experience: he started his career at McKinsey and subsequently held various management positions in the automotive and packaging industry. Today he is Senior Vice President of Oaktree Capital.

Headed by the former CEO, Dr. Jens Ludmann, Bavaria has progressed considerably during the last 2,5 years. New boats like the Vision 42, the Vision 46 or the Virtess 420 Flybridge have been developed and accepted positively on the market and have earned several awards (e.g. Powerboat of the Year 2013).The cooperation with the dealers was intensified and the Bavaria organisation was strengthened by numerous recruitments. Furthermore Dr. Jens Ludmann reorganized and developed the brand architecture of Bavaria Yachtbau.

Even in the future Dr. Jens Ludmann will support the development of the product portfolio of Bavaria Yachtbau as Senior Advisor. The two owners Anchorage Capital and Oaktree Capital are very pleased that Dr. Ludmann will continue his important work for the company.

“Now we want to tackle the next phase of development. We will optimize and adapt our internal processes to the increased market demands to give us the necessary space for further expansion of our high quality product range. In addition to our core markets we want to position ourselves in promising growth markets such as China, South America or Southeast Asia”, explains Constantin von Bülow his new job.
