Halifax NMEA Training Opportunities in September

If you are in the Halifax area, don’t forget the upcoming NMEA Educational Training Sessions on September 11, 12 and 13.

These will be held at the Future Inns Halifax Hotel and Conference Centre, 30 Fairfax Drive in Halifax.

The courses start with Basic Marine Electronics Installer, on Tuesday, September 11th.

The courses continue with NMEA 2000 Training, on Wednesday, September 12th, and conclude with the Advanced Marine Electronics Installer, Thursday, September 13th*

There is also a Regional meeting from 6-9pm following training on Sept. 13th.

The courses run from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with an exam given at the end of the session.

Pre-registration is required.  Please visit the NMEA website at www.nmea.org to register. Course materials are sent out in advance, please sign up early.

The 2024 Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, held by the National Marine Electronics Association, (NMEA) took place September 16 to the 20th in Providence, Rhode Island. Boating Industry Canada was there for the first time and we were very impressed with what we found.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
