OUTSTANDING TORONTO NMEA TRAINING OPPORTUNITY OFFERED THIS FEBRUARY

The National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) is offering an outstanding training opportunity this coming February 26, 27 and 28, 2013.

Toronto area NMEA Educational Training Sessions will be held at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport, located at  33 Carlson Court in Toronto.

Courses offered will be the:
NEW Basic Marine Electronics Installer, Tuesday, February 26th

NMEA 2000 Training, Wednesday, February 27th

Advanced Marine Electronics Installer, Thursday, February 28th

The courses run from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with an exam given at the end of the session.

Course materials are sent out in advance, please sign up early.

Duncan Peacock, resident of Kitimat BC and member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63, has been awarded the 12th annual Tim Jones Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Outdoor Community in British Columbia.

Peacock has been a member of Kitimat Marine Search and Rescue and RCMSAR Unit 63 for 31 years, making him one of the longest-serving members in the province.
