ThunderCat Racing Comes to Canada

You may be interested to learn that outbaord-powered ThunderCat racing is coming to Canada, starting with dates in Ontario and nearby US locations.

In Ontario the warm weather has peeked it’s head out this week.  This means the first ever Canadian sanctioned racing season of inflatable boats is fast approaching. Get ready for the races be it as a racer, official, or fan!

The organizers want to welcome www.HighCommandDistributing.com as their race series first sponsor!  They will be awarding Lucas Oil product to the overall winner in each class at each race event!

Also, the CBF (Canadian Boating Federation) has a deal for new racers of outboards boats.  $50 gets you a full race membership/license if you are new to CBF.  This is a great discount!  Normally just a weekend membership is $50!  So no reason to delay, join today!

Forms for CBF can be found here:

Note that the $50 deal is not listed for ThunderCat, but it is available.  Mention that you are new and signing up for ThunderCats and just send $50.  If you have any issues/questions, please let me know.

All events are currently in Ontario or nearby USA. There is interest in Quebec and British Columbia, maybe other areas too.

The global ThunderCat scene is excited to see and this International Olympic Committee recognized sport is growing by leaps and bounds in both racing and pleasure use.

2012 Event Schedule:
March 22               High Command Distributing Open House – http://www.highcommanddistributing.com
May 5                     Display & in water demo @ Picton, ON
June 9-10             Race @ Waterford ON
**June 23-24        Race @ Gravenhurst ON
July 20                   Display & in water demo @ Belle River ON
**July 21-22         Race @ Erinsville ON
August 18-19       Race @ Dunnville ON

** ThunderCat classes are currently tentative at these events, more participants are needed due to conflict with local USA race dates, or Canadian members are invited to run at the USA events.

Also, since these boats are just great fun for the family outside of racing, there are also some social fun runs in the works, no memberships required, it’s not racing, just a gathering of ThunderCats and like-minded small boats enjoying the day on the water.

For more information on the sport, or questions about approved boats, please feel free to contact Andrew Fralick, ThunderCat Racing Canada, Andrew4ce@gmail.com
