Wait a Minute…That’s Not Santa!

That’s Brock Elliott!

And the reindeer are not missing; they are not required. This is Campion Boats’ new electric boat and it is the brainchild of designer Neil Gilbert. A stylized (and less practical) design variation of this boat appeared in the August 2008 issue of Boating Industry Canada, on pages 21 through 23 in an article by John Morris. Want to see that? Go to www.boatingindustry.ca and click on "Digital Archive"  – enter your name and email and then double click "August 2008".

On Friday, December 16, 2011, Brock Elliott, general manager of Campion Boats sent us an email saying the company had launched this new electric boat in Kelowna, BC and that he went for a successful ride.

How do we know it was successful?

He got back to his office to send us this email to show off the new boat and to gloat about the (marginally) better weather he enjoys in beautiful BC!

Well, congratulations to Neil Gilbert and the team at Campion for the new boat…and Merry Christmas Brock!
