WOW = Women On The Water 2011 Spring Events

Since 2008, over 400 women have attended a WOW seminar, race or boating event.

“We have some really exciting events planned for 2011.” says WOW founder Lori Mason.  “It started in February and March we had one-day seminars at the Toronto Hydroplane and Sailing Club, the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club and The Store Mason’s Chandlery. We will continue now to include some on the water events starting with Mimico Cruising Club on May 30th and mentor racing. Cost is $10 per person which includes a BBQ afterwards, then hope to have more Monday evening mentor racing through out June, stay tuned.”

Our new exciting event will be our WOW Weekend at Island Yacht Club starting June 24 to 26th (bring your whole family). We are also resurrecting the Womens Keelboat Championship Regatta on June 25th with the help of Ontario Sailing. More to come on both these events, please check www.thestoremasons.com to sign up!

Robertson & Robertson Yacht Insurance (Skippers’ Plan) is once again a WOW sponsor for 2011 along with Gill, Ontario Sailing, and of course The Store Mason’s Chandlery!

“I’ve had so much fun in 2010 introducing so many new women to boating, and helping forge new relationships among women boaters” states Mason, ‘it’s going to be a great 2011!”
