Yacht Brokerage Universities (YBU) Comes to Mississauga, Ontario, August 4

 

YachtWorld.com,  is partnering with the Yacht Broker Association of America to co-present two more Yacht Brokerage Universities (YBU): Mississauga, Ontario on August 4 and Seabrook, TX on August 11. Canadian Yachting magazine and Boating Ontario are also providing industry support for the Yacht Brokerage University in Ontario.

“We are pleased to be partnering with YBAA again for two more sessions this year,” said Ian Atkins, vice president and general manager, YachtWorld.com. “Our curriculum underwent substantial change and the feedback from brokers has been very positive. It’s exciting to introduce new educational opportunities to the industry to favorably impact brokers’ businesses.”
 
Based on a survey of brokers who attended the Providence, RI and Annapolis, MD YBUs, 51% rated the overall event as “excellent.” One broker commented, “I have been attending these events since you first started putting them on, and this was the best run and organized event yet. I came away feeling that it was a day well spent.”

On August 4th, the Yacht Brokerage University will be held at The Waterside Inn in Mississauga, Ontario.
 
The one-day events will feature hosted panel discussions led by industry experts and will include presentations on:

* Boat Wizard 2.0 Presentation
* Best Practices Panel – Brokers Who are Putting Today’s Best Practices Into Action
* Industry Experts Panel – Insight from leading authorities representing  multiple facets of the marine industry

The 2024 Marine Electronics Conference & Expo, held by the National Marine Electronics Association, (NMEA) took place September 16 to the 20th in Providence, Rhode Island. Boating Industry Canada was there for the first time and we were very impressed with what we found.

The association is very well supported and virtually any significant marine electronics company that you could name, was represented there on the Exhibitor list at the Expo as well as all being NMEA members and very supportive of the organization.
