We are currently looking to bring on board a reliable, collaborative and hands-on Marine Services Supervisor to supervise and implement site-related maintenance, repairs and marine programs to our floating infrastructure, as well as to direct and oversee marine crew on daily tasks and projects.

Reporting To: Director, Commercial Operations & Facilities

Direct Reports: Marine Crew

Type of Employment: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Work Location: Toronto

Requirements:
• A minimum education level of a high school diploma, with a college diploma preferred.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and forklift equipment.
• Experience with electrical systems and the loads that can be placed on them.
• Knowledge of carpentry, metal work, and welding.
• Ability to work independently and with a pro-active approach.
• Confidence and good interpersonal skills to supervise and support a team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to swim, and a strong understanding of water safety.
• Must have a valid G license.
• Completion of training in and a good understanding of WHMIS.
• Availability to work shifts that may include evening and/or weekends as needed.
• Availability to be on call to deal with emergency situations.

Duties:
• Install and maintain floating docks, Marine Safety equipment and Marine electrical and mechanical facilities.
• Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems, and safety concerns.
• Assist with Marine programs as required.
• Responsibly and safely operate with Harbourfront Centre’s work boats, vehicles, heavy equipment.
• Lead and work with the Marine crew on the installation of new facilities.
• Ensure on a daily basis that all water lots at Harbourfront are free of debris, garbage and seaweed.
• Replace worn, damaged, or defective dock boards, posts/rails and all related equipment.
• Inspect marina, docks and piers, and reports all necessary repairs.
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of marine crew.
• Respond to and action emergency calls related to Marine services.

Annual salary of $53,000 – $58,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package
