Position:       Marine Service Technician

Employment Status:  Full Time Equivalent (FTE) hours with Overtime (OT) as required.

Location:        Toronto Outer Harbour Marina, 475 Unwin Avenue, Toronto, ON

Start Date:      March 2021

Compensation:          $60,000 to $85,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience

Marine Service Technician Role and Responsibilities

TYS requires Marine Service Technician to join our amazing service team. Marine Service Technicians install inspect, maintain, and repair vessels of all types. Using diagnostic equipment, they test and repair vessel engines, transmissions, propellers, and running gear.  They also install and test sanitation and refrigeration systems, AC/DC electrical systems/equipment, steering gear, and accessories.

Position: Experienced Marine Technician
Location: Toronto, Ontario 

Objective/ Job Description: 

Someone who has a minimum of 3 years in the marine or powersports industry.

Has experience repairing and troubleshooting personal watercraft.

Can work independently and in a team environment.

Has basic computer skills to communicate with customers and manufacturers.

Previous experience on Kawasaki PWC, however will be expected to repair and maintain all major PWC brands. 

Someone who is looking to learn and grow in this constantly changing industry.

Compensation: 

Starting wage $45K plus commission and is based off previous experience. Health/Dental and RRSP benefits.

Description and scope of work: At this time, we need to add a fully qualified and certified marine technician to our busy repair shop.   We are looking for someone with at least 10 years experience in Evinrude or Mercury outboards, and Mercruiser stern drives.  This position is full time, year round with a wage rate of $30/hour for the right candidate.
