BOATING ONTARIO INVITES LAKE SIMCOE MEMBERS TO ‘MAKE A BIG SPLASH THIS SUMMER’

Splash Floating Water Festival

Call now – there may still be time to get involved! ‘Make a big SPLASH this summer’ is the slogan being used for the 3rd annual Splash Floating Water Festival being held on Saturday August 17, 2013 at De La Salle Park, near Jackson’s Point. The one day event includes fun for the whole family offering everything from a sand castle competition, boat show, live music, kid’s activities and much more.

This festival was created to assist with the development of an Ontario Water Centre for Innovation, Research and Learning. The impact of this Centre will be great – socially, economically and environmentally. Lake Simcoe will be home to a world-class living laboratory for research and social innovation in an emerging green economy.

Boating Ontario will be showcasing their Discover Boating – Welcome to the Water and our Clean Marine programs at the event.  At no cost to you, we would like you to join us.

Opportunities for Boating Ontario members on Lake Simcoe:
•    Participate at the Splash Festival as an exhibitor with Boating Ontario
•    Provide event listings for regional advertisement in Lake Simcoe Living
•    Provide event listings for Splash Festival Social Networks (May – October) including website, Facebook and twitter
•    Place product on display as part of the on-land Boat Show

To mark this summer of celebration, Splash and Lake Simcoe Living are creating a special event program in the July-August magazine on where to go, what to see, and what to do at Splash.  Boating Ontario would like to recognize members on Lake Simcoe by placing an ad in Lake Simcoe Living. Preferably we would like to feature your events that you will be hosting throughout the 2013 summer. This year is also Lake Simcoe Living’s 5th anniversary. The advertisement in the program includes space at the Beach Bash and your event listings at no cost to you.
