On Saturday, April 8 the winner of the 2017 Toronto International Boat Show’s “Buy a Boat & Win $10,000” contest received their cheque at Quinn’s Marina in Keswick, Ontario. Erin Terveld of Keswick, ON, Lake Simcoe boater, bought a 16’ Bayliner at the recent TIBS show and the $10,000 went towards the purchase of her boat.
The Buy a Boat & Win contest creates incentive for consumers to finalize boat purchases before the end of the show. As well the program helps to generate sales statistics. Accuracy of the numbers provided on boats sold at the show is reliant on exhibitor participation in the program.
This year, the program reported that 1,082 boats were sold by dealers that reported on boats sold.
