Award Team Indmar 23L EcoBoostEvery manufacturer in the marine industry wants to be known for developing marine products that shock and surprise customers and the industry. Since Indmar Marine Engines launched their new beast, the 2.3L EcoBoost, the all-new performance platform has proven it’s here to surprise, shock and disrupt the inboard marine industry. - And it’s not just Indmar that thinks the inboard marine engine is a true work of art with truly innovative and groundbreaking features.

Today, the NMMA and Boating Writing International (BWI) honored winners of the 2019 Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show Innovation Awards, recognizing exceptionally groundbreaking new consumer marine products.  The Awards were presented during the boat show’s annual Innovation Breakfast held at the Miami Marine Stadium Park and Basin on Virginia Key.  This year’s program evaluated 66 products across 26 categories.  The judges ultimately selected 18 winning products in 18 categories.

Not only is the 2.3L EcoBoost by Indmar loaded with innovative technologies, the lightweight compact package delivers a big punch, touting 350 lb.-ft of torque and 310 horsepower – it’s also an overachiever that produces power ratings equal to or greater than its competitors that come in larger packages. It is the only turbocharged marine engine in its segment and it’s the most powerful inboard marine engine per liter, packing 135 horses per liter.  The kind of performance that comes standard with a dose of adrenaline and proves that the 2.3L EcoBoost by Indmar may be small in stature, but fierce in power!

“EcoBoost is a proven technology that continues to break new ground and today it is opening new doors in the marine industry, explains Jason Stimmel, Vice President of Engineering.  The 2.3L EcoBoosts’ patent pending technology delivers the most advanced engine technologies available in a marine engine, providing consumers the most from a small engine footprint with the performance equal to or greater than a V8.” Stimmel further added, “We are honored to be recognized and awarded by the NMMA and BWI for Innovation.  Today’s award would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of our entire engineering and product development team.”

Indmar’s engineering team selected the 2.3L EcoBoost motor that is heavily fortified to produce more reliable horsepower in the high-performance Mustang application.  A state-of-the-art production engine that stands to be the strongest and most robust turbocharged inline-four yet.

The 2.3L EcoBoost by Indmar is a gasoline turbocharged direct injection (GTDI) engine that incorporates three fuel saving and performance enhancing technologies into one engine design – forced air induction via turbo charging, power maximizing direct fuel injection and variable cam timing.  See the video

Questus Radar Mount

Questus Marine patented, Self-Leveling Radar Mounts automatically keep radar antennas level with the horizon, eliminating target loss.

Regardless of the angle of heel, with a Questus mount, a radar antenna will pick up targets to either side of a vessel, rather than aiming to the sky and water (for planes and fish). The Questus Marine Self-Leveling Radar Mount can be installed in three basic configurations: backstay mount, mast mount or Stern Pole mount.
