THOM DAMMRICH RECEIVES WSIA LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Thom Dammrich Lifetime Award

Mar 19, 2019

The Watersports Industry Association (WSIA) presented NMMA president Thom Dammrich with its 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award during the association’s annual Summit earlier this month. The Lifetime Achievement Award is WSIA’s highest honor and recognizes an individual whose career has been dedicated to the progression and promotion of towed water sports.

The 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by WSIA’s Kevin Michael and Larry Meddock, who both spoke highly of Dammrich, “This man commands respect of every room he goes into. He has great intellect, great advice, and great wisdom.”

Meddock said the WSIA Board of Directors selected Dammrich for this award because of his 20 years of effort to unify the “ecosystem” of the recreational boating industry and for his part in bringing together the common interests of the two associations.

Dammrich noted during his remarks at the WSIA Summit, “We are all better, we are all stronger, we are all more successful when we work together. I can assure you that the NMMA will be your partner to address these [current issues] moving forward.”
