The organizers of the Toronto international Boat Show (TIBS) have launched their consumer marketing campaign to potential attendees.
"As we bring in the New Year, the TIBS Virtual Show marketing campaign is well underway with over 70,000 members of the Captain's Club receiving the consumer newsletter, providing great content on the upcoming show!”
As communicated in the Exhibitor newsletter, Social Media audiences are making up another 30,000 followers and that they are ‘liking’ and sharing posts about the Virtual Show!
In addition, an extensive media buy that includes search, digital and social began the first week of January.
A media buy on Toronto radio stations launched January 9, and commercials can be heard on 680 News, Sportsnet 590/The Fan, TSN 1050, CFRB NewsTalk 1010 and Q107.
Other advertising includes Power Boat Television on Global TV, plus industry magazines and newsletters. A PR campaign across Ontario is also underway.
Consumers are being made aware that this year's show is…"A whole NEW way to get ready for YOUR boating season!"
FREE Admission is NOW OPEN. Consumers are encouraged to Register Now and they have started!! So far more than 10,000 Attendees have Registered for the Show.

TRANSPORT CANADA COMMISSIONS UNDERWATER LISTENING STATION IN THE SALISH SEA TO PROTECT ENDANGERED KILLER WHALES AND QUIET SHIPS
Environmental science and engineering company JASCO Applied Sciences recently developed and installed a world-class underwater listening station in the Salish Sea to track endangered whales and measure underwater noise emissions of thousands of commercial vessels that frequent B.C.’s southern ports.
The station consists of two observation frames, each with eight underwater microphones, called hydrophones, installed 190 metres (620 feet) below the shipping lanes of Boundary Pass, about 50 kilometres south of Vancouver.
