Boating Ontario is proud to announce that, after applying last year, the association has been awarded the Boating Safety Contribution Program grant by Transport Canada. This grant will be used over 3 years to support the industry initiative of promoting safe boating.

Boating Ontario is a non-profit association that engages and promotes the boating industry, advocates on behalf of their members, and aims to increase boater retention by educating and promoting subjects of interest and concern to the public.

Stated by Boating Ontario’s CEO Rick Layzell, “The recreational boating industry contributes $4 billion to Ontario’s economy, and is also an industry that drives a recreational sport which thousands of families actively embrace. This 3-year grant will support the association in its efforts to increase participation, by delivering a boater education and safety campaign to new and existing boaters.”
