After the really positive “vibe” at the Boating Ontario Conference two weeks ago, I can imagine the crowds and the excitement that we will see when the doors open on the Boat Shows this winter. Clearly people are not just back out there, they are really excited and seem to want to make up for lost time.

And, at the Boating Ontario event, numerous people asked me if the Industry Breakfast would return. Well, on December 9th, it was announced that the 2023 NMMA Canada Industry Breakfast would be held again on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

In her final message to the industry as she departs to her new position, Sara Anghel wrote that NMMA Canada is pleased to announce the return of the NMMA Canada State of the Industry event. Our long-term partner Wells Fargo will also be back and more details will be released in the coming weeks. Watch for that in our final Boating Industry Canada News Week Digest edition coming out on December 20th.

We plan a special edition for that with a focus on marine industry careers and the success being achieved by young people who have recently (and not so recently) joined the business.

In spite of the head-winds we all face with rising interest rates and the rapidly changing world of technology, I believe we are heading into a great year in 2023 – the demographics are still very much on our side and there will be great opportunities in the marine industry in the future.

That’s a teaser for the 2023 NMMA Canada State of the Industry Breakfast. ‘Looking forward to seeing you there!
