COMPACT AIR HANDLERS DELIVER COMFORT ON ANY BOAT

Air Handlers

Feb 17, 2017

Escaping from the heat while out on the water was once limited to only large yachts capable of accommodating bulky air conditioning units. But with their compact dimensions and intelligent designs, the new BlueCool A-Series air handlers from WebastoThermo& Comfort North America, Inc. bring comfort to boats of almost any size.

The three models in the BlueCool A-Series—Compact, Low Profile and Slimline—are distinguished by their especially space-friendly configurations. The Compact units, available in outputs from 4,000-36,000 BTU/hr, incorporate a small footprint for installation almost anywhere. Low Profile models, with capacities from 6,000-18,000 BTU/hr, have minimized height for horizontal mounting. Slimline versions, intended for vertical spaces, also deliver 6,000-18,000 BTU/hr. All offer a full suite of quality features including vibration dampers and a remote bleeder. The Instant Drain Condensate Management System keeps excess water within a specially designed tray, preventing spills when a boat heels or makes abrupt maneuvers. Each BlueCool A-Series air handler can also accommodate optional electrical heat modules to create a dual-purpose system. Bypass valves enable cabins to receive either heat or air conditioning independent of one another, ensuring each space on board is comfortable.

The BlueCool A-Series comes with the WebastoBlueCoolMyTouch control unit, a 2.4″ color touchscreen with clearly organized commands in 10 languages for truly intuitive operation. Users can select one of three digital designs for the menu, and even upload a logo or photograph as the standby image. New features include a timer, full text description messages and display of operating values for a user-friendly experience. Cover plates can be replaced with those from several décor manufacturers to perfectly match the boat’s interior. A video is at bit.ly/2jwRaMQ.
