Nov 5, 2024

On Friday, October 11th, 2024, Brad Thomson, General Manager of MacDonald Turkey Point Marina presented a cheque for $22,600 to Jennifer Baxter of the London Children’s Health Foundation. Also on hand for the cheque presentation alongside Brad, was Haldimand-Norfolk MPP, Bobbi Anne Brady, Dan Demeester, Julie Thomson, Norfolk County Mayor, Amy Martin, and Norfolk County Councillor, Chris VanPaassen.

Our 2024 fundraising season came to a close in September following our 24th annual bass tournament. This year’s fundraising events included auctions, concerts in the park and the annual bass tournament, all contributing to this amazing $22,600 donation. These events along with the Turkey Point Santa Clause parade and visits bring the Thomson family’s 24-year fundraising total to $247,232.00. WOW!

The London Children’s Hospital cares for more than 1,100 children from Norfolk and Oxford County each year. Brad Thomson, the Thomson family and everyone at MacDonald Turkey Point Marina are very grateful for the continued support from all of our sponsors, competitors, volunteers and supporters over the past 24 years. 2024 major sponsors are featured in the boarder of this letter.

We are looking forward to our 25th anniversary of the annual London Children’s Health Foundation Charity Tournament happening on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Save the date! This is truly fishing for a cause. Come join us and experience the thrill and excitement of tournament fishing. A child’s health is the greatest gift.

On behalf of the Thomson family and MacDonald Turkey Point Marina…………… THANK YOU! Yours truly,

Brad Thomson
General Manager
