PROPSPEED PARTNERS WITH CMP GROUP LTD. FOR INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION

Propspeed and CMP Group

Oct 20, 2020

Propspeed, leading innovator of underwater foul-release coatings, has announced that it has partnered with CMP Group Ltd. Under the terms of the agreement, Propspeed will be distributed by CMP Europe in Italy and Jia Da Specialty Metals, a division of CMP Group, in China.

“The CMP Group is an ideal fit to distribute our products in these markets,” said Chris Baird, CEO, Propspeed. “Both of our companies have people who are deeply passionate about our products and the industry. We are also both committed to long-term relationships and working together to provide the very best solutions to our customers.”

“Propspeed’s products fit in perfectly with our market-leading offerings like our Martyr anodes,” said Don Hambly, CEO, CMP Group. “Propspeed and the Martyr anodes work great together to protect vessels from corrosion. We are confident that together we will provide our customers with the best solutions to fulfil their needs.”

Propspeed has been protecting underwater assets for over 21 years. Originally developed to solve the issue of the fouling on propellers, Propspeed does much more than just that. One of the biggest benefits that is unique is its superior corrosion prevention, when paired with the correct type of sacrificial anodes. Propspeed electrically isolates the metal and limits the exchanges between the ions and the gases contained in the water and the metal. By isolating the metal substrate, Propspeed reduces the wetted metal surface area on a vessel. This means that the anodes will be able to work with Propspeed to protect the vessel from corrosion with maximum efficiency.

CMP Group Ltd. is a leading provider of marine products for the recreational and commercial boating industries. CMP is made up of many individual brands, each serving customers in different ways, but all with a focus to provide consumers with innovative and value-added solutions. Officially launched at Genoa Boat Show, CMP Europe is now distributing the Propspeed range of products throughout Italy. Jia Da Specialty Metals, located in the city of Ningbo, China will have the Propspeed range of products available from early December.
