Raymarine LightHouse 4.7 Now Available

Raymarine Lighthouse 4.7

Sept 3, 2024

Raymarine recently announced that its latest Axiom operating system, LightHouse 4.7, is now available for download.

Top features in the new LightHouse 4.7 update:

Power-Pole Integration
Axiom users can stow and deploy Power-Pole Shallow Water Anchors and control all MOVE trolling motor models – directly from a slide-out sidebar on their chartplotter display. They can also take advantage of the Power-Pole MOVE’s advanced navigation and seamlessly switch between the MOVE trolling motor and Raymarine Evolution autopilot while navigating a route or waypoint.

Smart Drift
The new Smart DriftTM feature in the Axiom chartplotter is an innovative addition that takes the guesswork out of starting a drift when bottom fishing, deep dropping or fishing over wrecks. To calculate a drift, anglers can select a chart location or use Axiom’s sonar history feature to scroll back the fish finder timeline and identify interesting bottom structure or a wreck for a drift-start location. Smart Drift then creates a drift vector line and start location after taking a precise measurement of the wind and current conditions impacting the boat.

Florida Marine Tracks Support
In July, ISLA Mapping announced a new Florida Marine Tracks South Florida marine chart for Raymarine Axiom chartplotter displays, now available at Floridamarinetracks.com. While not required for charplotter compatibility, the new Lighthouse 4.7 software upgrade is recommended for an optimal navigation experience.

Fish Finder Improvements
On the fish finder screen, anglers can use the zoom mode to automatically track the bottom when in view. The streamlined magnification window is easier to view and move about the water column. In addition, anglers can enter a GoTo destination waypoint directly from the fish finder screen via a long press on any target of interest.

Sailing Features
With customizable expanded polar tables, Axiom can now take into account Beat and Run Angles for more efficient sailing in a range of conditions.

Finally, users can customize the Axiom interface with selectable route and track colors and upload a favorite image to use as a background wallpaper that can now be shared across all Axiom displays if multiple are networked together. On the chart screen, a long press anywhere on the chart pops up a context-sensitive menu which can be dragged with a finger and the data it displays will update based on the cursor’s new location. For the ultimate in on-the-water entertainment, LightHouse 4.7 is now compatible with Wet Sounds WS-BB-10 marine audio receiver via NMEA 2000. This offers complete control of the audio direct from the display, without the need for a dedicated remote, providing a cleaner helm space.
