Shockwave Seats appoints GMA for European expansion

Shockwaves S5 Sentinel

Dec 19, 2023

The UK media organization, Marine Industry News, has reported that Canada-based Shockwave Seats, a specialist manufacturer of marine suspension seating systems, has appointed GMA as its sales representative for its recreational product line in Europe.

With a history dating back more than 20 years, today the Shockwave brand is internationally recognized with customers producing vessels for coastguard, SAR, military, commercial and high-performance leisure use.

Dave Smith, owner and president at Shockwave, says: “Since introducing our S5 Sentinel suspension base, which is aimed squarely at the recreational market, our business in Europe has taken off and in order to position ourselves to take advantage of some of these new opportunities, we could see we needed additional sales resources. We are extremely pleased to have contracted with UK-based, European manufacturers representative, GMA, which comes highly recommended and will be able to provide an additional level of support to our existing and future customers within a European time zone”

Paul Woodlock, European sales manager at GMA, comments: “We are absolutely thrilled to be appointed to represent Shockwave Seats in Europe. Our initial goal will be to establish a European distribution network that will stock and promote Shockwave products to both boat builders and to the aftermarket and we are commencing initial discussions with several companies that have already declared an interest in distributing Shockwave products.”
