There has never been a better year to attend the conference

This November, association members and other interested individuals can attend the boating BC conference and the Boating Ontario conferences. There has never been a better or more important year to attend.

The incredible surge in interest in boating combined with a broad range of product shortages and other business challenges has made this the most difficult business environment to navigate that I remember in my career. (Read more)

Having just returned from the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the enthusiasm for in-person meeting is hard to describe. The world has been shut down for the last two years; an incredible and almost unimaginable situation if we had talked about this in 2019 before COVID.

Now, boat dealers and repair yards are dealing with unheard of demand yet deliveries have stretched out through 2022 and in some cases, on to 2023. How can we sustain buyer interest for that long? Still, the sales pressure seems to be continuing.

Some people I’ve spoken to are having their best year ever while others are missing sales opportunities everyday. There are bound to be solutions. You know some people will find their way through this better than others, but one thing I’m sure of is that the opportunity of coming together with your peers in the industry, is one not to be missed.

Even if you normally never attend your associations conferences, invest the money and go this year. There’s still time to register for Boating BC Conference starting November 23rd and also for the Boating Ontario Conference starting November 29. Hope to see you there!
