VERATRON LINKUP WINS INNOVATION AWARD AT IBEX

Veratron Linkup

Oct 20, 2020

Veratron’s LinkUp suite of single-function gateway modules was awarded a 2020 Innovation Award at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX). It won in the highly competitive OEM Electronics category.

LinkUp gateway modules replace the original wiring of onboard sensors and are easily configured using a mobile device and the companion Configurator app. Judge Ben Stein noted, “Veratron’s LinkUp solves the challenge of configuring NMEA 2000 sensors, even when they are not yet installed.”

Once the LinkUp module is connected to an NMEA 2000 backbone, sensor data is available on any OceanLink, AcquaLink or compatible glass cockpit device. Currently, Veratron offers five variants: Intelligent Battery Sensor, Pyrometer, Generic Resistive, J1939 that converts analog engine data and a 2-in-1 that measures oil temperature and pressure.

“We’re flattered to receive this honor and pleased that the industry sees the benefit of this technology,” said Tony McLachlan, Veratron US president and CEO. “LinkUp provides all the speed and benefits of NMEA 2000, without the expense and headache of replacing older sensors that use outdated protocols.”
