CANADIANS HONOURED AT SMOKER CRAFT DEALER MEETING

Doug Smoker

Aug 29, 2017

Two Canadian dealers were recognized at the Smoker Craft Inc. 2018 model year dealer meeting, held earlier this month at the company’s manufacturing facility in New Paris, Indiana.

Edmonton, Alberta-based Marine Management, and Waubaushene, Ontario-based Marsh’s Waubaushene Marine were each recognized among the company’s top 20 dealers at the event, which attracted representatives from more than 250 different Smoker Craft dealerships worldwide. Visiting dealers were treated to an in-depth look at the company’s 2018 model year for its Smoker Craft, Starcraft, Sylvan and SunChaser brands, with 159 boats on display and a further 18 in the water at a nearby lake.

“We had a record number of dealers with us this year,” said Smoker Craft Inc. president, Doug Smoker – a fitting result in a year which has seen the company achieve a number of new production and sales milestones as well as CSI awards for its aluminum, pontoon and fibreglass products. “2017 marked the sixth consecutive year that we marked double-digit growth,” said Smoker. “The first quarter of 2017 was the largest first quarter in our history. And the second quarter of 2017 was the largest quarter in our history. So far this year we’ve had four record months of production.” Smoker Craft Top 20 Dealers 400

Smoker Craft Inc. manufactures a diverse lineup of aluminum fishing boats, pontoon boats and fibreglass runabouts and surf boats for worldwide distribution. The company, with more than 600 employees, boasts a global dealer network in excess of 400 locations.

Smoker Craft showed a large number of new product for its 2018 model year, including: all-new Pro Sportsman and Phantom models, along with redesigned Pro Angler XL and Ultima models in its Smoker Craft line; all-new SX and redesigned EX pontoons, new 176 Titan, 178 Renegade and 188 Renegade aluminum fishing models, new MDX deck boats and new SCX and StarStep surf boats in its Starcraft line-up; an all-new Geneva pontoon line under its SunChaser banner; and a new high-end M-Series pontoon line for Sylvan.
