VIBSWestern Canada’s largest annual boat show, the Vancouver International Boat Show, opens tomorrow February 6th through Sunday, February 10th.
Taking place at two venues- the Boat Show’s primary indoor location will be at BC Place, while the floating show will be located at Granville Island. Free shuttle buses and water ferries will be operating continuously between the two venues.
With more than 250 exhibitors, this year’s highlights will make waves. Boating enthusiasts will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in more than 125 seminars, attend inspiring educational and seminar opportunities, and get a first look at the 2019 premiere models. Free boat rides will also be available to those who are looking for an on the water experience.
One buzzworthy feature this year is the cast of the Discovery Channel’s docu-series Cooper’s Treasure, who will be onsite to engage with fans throughout the week. The reality show centers around Darrell Miklos, Jim Sinclair and Johnny Bell as they take on the adventure of a lifetime visiting shipwreck sites around the world in search of hidden treasure.
This year’s exhibits are endless; the UBC Sailboat Team will be showcasing their autonomous sailing vessel that will complete the Vic-Maui Race all on its own. Mike McLellan will be returning with his Formula-1 Tunnel Boat that can reach speeds over 220 KMH. From yachting, sailing, sport fishing, even paddle boarding, there is something for everyone. The Vancouver International Boat Show is the ultimate way to find out what top industry experts are saying will be hitting the water this coming boating season.

And of course, the Vancouver International Boat Show can only be fully experienced by taking the time to watch and learn from featured chefs and sample the latest seafood treasures at the Dockside Grill. Featured chefs will include Tammy Wood of Agassiz who finished in the Top Ten of Canada’s Master Chef, Season-two and now has her own cooking show, "Saucy's Got Game" - The Loxy Ladies, sisters who work for locally based Sundance Seafood Ltd. And Chef Roman Peters of the Shearwater Resort. All will be onsite Friday through Sunday cooking up delicious recipes that are healthy, delicious, and easy to prepare.
