ABYC presents Sur/Tech 2021, January 6-7, 2021 – Virtual Event. This is a new online learning event providing continuing education and technical training for marine surveyors, technicians, and other industry professionals.

Training Agenda

Update! There will be plenty of breaks in between sessions to get up from your computer. During breaks we’ve added bonus learning experiences with optional micro-course topics like electrical load analysis and gasoline tank inspections. You can choose to stick around for the micro-courses or go stretch and take care of other work needs. 
 
Day 1 – Surveyor Training Day (earn 5 CEUs)

  • Corrosion theory and practice
  • Using standards when surveying older boats
  • How to make survey reports defensible in court
  • Surveying electrical systems
  • Writing survey reports utilizing ABYC standards   
     
    Day 2 – Technician Training Day (earn 5 CEUs)
  • Balmar – Batteries, chargers, alternators
  • AC systems – Analysis and tools
  • Marine insurance – Rights and liabilities for technicians
  • CZONE training
  • DC systems – Analysis and tools
    Registration:
    Attend both day 1 & day 2 – $149.95 ABYC members and $189.95 nonmembers
    Attend day 1 or day 2 only – $79.95/day ABYC members and $119.95/day nonmembers
