Boating Ontario Honours Industry Excellence at 2025 President’s Dinner & Awards Gala

Boating Ontario proudly recognized excellence, leadership, and long-standing dedication within Ontario’s marine industry at the 2025 President’s Dinner & Awards Gala, held during the Boating Ontario Conference at Blue Mountain Resort.

More than 300 Conference delegates gathered for the annual Gala, an evening that brings the marine community together to reconnect, celebrate achievements, and formally recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the industry.

2025 Boating Ontario Award Recipients

Robert J. Eaton Environmental Award
Fifty Point Marina
Recognizing outstanding commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices within the marine sector.

Gord Blake Visionary Award
Wilson Forbes
Presented to an individual who demonstrates forward-thinking leadership and vision that advances Ontario’s marine industry.

President’s Award
Brian Crate
This award recognizes exceptional service and dedication in support of Boating Ontario and the marine industry.

W.J. Robertson Award
Dave Moffatt
Awarded in recognition of long-standing service and meaningful contributions to the marine industry and to Boating Ontario.


“The President’s Dinner & Awards Gala is an opportunity to recognize the people who quietly – and sometimes not so quietly – help move our industry forward,” said Rick Layzell, Boating Ontario CEO. “Each of this year’s recipients has played a meaningful role in shaping a strong, connected, and resilient marine community.”
