Freedom Marine named 2024 Employer of Choice Award Winner by Boating Industry Canada

2024 Boating Industry Canada Employer of Choice Award

Mar 5, 2024

Freedom Marine International Yacht Sales has been named a 2024 Employer of Choice Award winner by Boating Industry Canada, the leading industry trade journal in the Canadian boating circle. With the opinions of actual team members collected from the evaluation process, the award reflects Freedom Marine’s long-time dedication to employee satisfaction.

Freedom Marine was founded in 1997 in Vancouver, B.C. and now has two offices, one in Coal Harbour, Vancouver, and another at the picturesque Port Sidney Marina on Vancouver Island. The team consists of 8 professional yacht sales representatives, supported by a strong team of administrative, marketing, accounting, and management personnel.

The annual award recognizes and promotes the best employers in the Canadian boating industry.

Companies taking part in the program submit a profile and team members complete an employee survey which are scored together and determine the results. The award is split into two categories, one for Dealers & Marinas, and one for Marina Business.

“Throughout nearly 30 years of business in Vancouver, our team has always been the core to who we are,” said Don Young, President of Freedom Marine International Yacht Sales. “It’s a great honor to receive this recognition but that doesn’t mean we’re going to relax our efforts. We will continue to build Freedom Marine into an attractive workplace that’s forward thinking, respectful, and an ideal place to build a career in the marine industry.”
